WILD Quest Women Want to Talk...

"WILD was a time of growth for me in so many ways. It took me away from my usual crazy life and let me just be me. I grew with other wonderful women, some of whom I knew beforehand, others who I hadn't had the opportunity to meet yet. I took risks phsyically and spiritually that I hadn't had the chance or encouragement to do before. I never thought I would have been able to do the things that I did. I was able to be completely honest with myself, and view my life for what it is: a beautiful opportunity to know, be known, and take risks!"

I often marvel at the handiwork of Gods creation, the subtle shades of color, the different patterns and textures. The women's WILD weekend is a chance to get away and really experience God and His creation up close and personal. It is a place where I don't have to worry if my socks and shoes match my shirt or if my mascara is on right. It is a place where I feel free to be who I am, just the way God created me to be; WILD and free and totally in love with Him. For me it is also a wonderful opportunity to sit back and see just what my fellow sisters in Christ are capable of, and I am never disappointed. It is so fun for me to watch girls who normally think roughin it means staying in a hotel with no room service to really stretch themselves, try new things and to grow through the experiences. I have seen God work in so many extraordinary ways through this retreat and it really makes me realize just what an amazing and wonderful God we serve.

I have been to WILD weekend both years and plan on making it a “Do Not Miss” event. WILD gave me a chance to intentionally step outside my comfortable boundaries and experience challenges that created opportunities to depend on the Lord for strength and courage. The best part about it was discovering that most of the women were facing similar hurdles; it became a time of connecting with one another for mutual encouragement and support. God is so good and I am looking forward to this year’s retreat to experience His beautiful outdoors and find out what amazing victories will be won in the lives of each woman.

When I heard about the Women's Wild Weekend, it appealed to me because I love to do active outdoor things. I was a little nervous because I didn't really know any of the women well but I felt like God was telling me to go. It was awesome! I loved being outdoors where you get away from everything and can focus on want God wants to say as well as maybe take you out of your comfort zone a little. The activities were fun and the team competition helped me get to know some great women! I realized that I have spent too much time without the support of other Christian women and how much I and all of us really need that. I came home tired and yet renewed and I can't wait for the next one!
